A nature playground is a play area that is designed to encourage children to interact with the natural environment. It typically includes natural elements like timber, rocks, sand, water and plants. To learn more about nature playgrounds, read our blog.
Nature playgrounds provide children with opportunities for sensory exploration, creative play and physical activity. They also promote environmental education, imagination and problem-solving skills. By using natural material and more open-ended play activities, Natura’s equipment is designed to get kids radically immersed in a muddy, thrilling, hands-on kind of play. No matter their location – rural, suburban or urban – our playgrounds give kids the opportunity to be amongst the elements, and in their own element, with the ultimate goal of helping them see their own place within the natural ecosystem.
The cost of building a nature playground can vary greatly depending on the size of the playground, the materials used, and the level of customisation. Our design and sales team are always available for consultation and to provide a free design proposal and quote. Give them a call on 1800 655 041.
All our raw materials are sourced from local suppliers. For our timber playground equipment, we use sustainably-sourced natural logs which are de-barked, sanded, radiused and oiled, then finished with bitumen-sealed footings. Our sand and water play equipment is made locally in our fabrication workshop from durable, high-grade materials. To find out more about individual products and materials, view our range and download the product spec sheet.
