About

image description

Enveloped in the lush, green surrounds of Plunkett Conservation Park and an extensive eucalypt forest, Neumann Park is a natural playground inspired by the natural landscape and bushland. The intention of the open park design was to create a community hub fostering healthy living and lifestyle, while recognising the natural features, culture and placemaking.

Designed by AECOM, the playground consists of balance beams, slides, swings and a rock scramble, encouraging children to actively engage with natural materials. The primary material used was responsibly-sourced Australian ironbark, a feature of Natura’s timber play equipment.

The play focuses on movement between spaces and levels, fostering discovery and learning. Visitors can also admire the two rock shelters that border the park and connect it to the Traditional Owners of the site.

The playground was installed by Natura’s subsidiary brand, Play Works.
